Cajuput – known all over the world
Cajuput oil is extracted from cajuput trees. They belong to the myrtle family and are native to the Moluccas (“Spice Islands” in Indonesia), Australia, the Philippines and Java.
Cajuput oil is a popular household remedy in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, as well as among the Aborigines of Australia, among others, and is mostly used to treat pain and relieve nasal and bronchial blockages. Cajuput oil is also said to have a possible anti-inflammatory effect.
